5.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful interpretation, 11 Oct 2003
By A Customer
The opening of the first track introduced the musicality and professionalism which were maintained during the entire CD. The Sarum Consort provides a beautiful warm sound, imbued with love of Bach's music. The interplay between the voices in Bach's typically intricate style is brought out accurately and musically by the choice to perform these pieces one to a part, and the intensity of this recording of the motets is a pure pleasure to experience. The ensemble performance is first class, showing sensitivity to other singers and moving as a whole at all times.

For anyone who enjoys Bach's choral writing, this recording is an absolute must!
