Synopsis
Comedy series from the 70s featuring a young married couple, Chris and Fliss, who have twins, a mortgage, a house in disrepair and a mother-in-law who disapproves.

Chris Hawthorne (David Roper) and his pretty wife Fliss (Diane Keen) are a young married couple who have the good fortune to be blessed with twin babies, a mortgage, a house in disrepair and a disapproving mother-in-law. Chris is a struggling young reporter who, according to his mother-in-law, really needs a proper job to make ends meet. But despite their lack of respectability, the couple battle on with hardships and humour in this loveable television comedy series.
Includes the following three episodes:
- Episode 1:
There is a cuckoo in the nest as Chriss best friend, Gavin comes to stay after his marriage break-up. Chriss desire for a peaceful life has to be put on hold as his rich, successful playboy friend needs a helping hand.
- Episode 2:
Gavin has outstayed his welcome and the young couple grow tired of him commandeering the house as if it were his own, not to mention the late night antics.
- Episode 3:
Money is tight and Mr and Mrs Hawthorne finally ask their new lodger for payment as Fliss is having problems making ends meet.
