4.0 out of 5 stars Motown Years, 6 Jan 2004
By Brian Martin "lucky laddie" (Erskine Scotland) - See all my reviews

A budget CD from Spectrum covering their years at Motown prior to moving to Atlantic and all their big chart hits.

The CD contains the Stevie Wonder penned monster It’s a shame, which was their biggest hit at Motown along with other goodies Together we can make such sweet music, Truly Yours, I’ll always love you, and where is the girl.

This along with the greatest hits CD covers the best of the group at and after Motown and both are available at budget prices.

Best to buy both and listen to one of the best vocal groups to ever come out of Detroit.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but not great, 22 May 2007
By MJ King "MJK" (Birmingham, England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
The Spinners were never one of the front line male groups at Motown, with really only "Its A Shame" doing the business for them.

This is an OK CD, solid performances with some fair songs but its not too hard to see why they were over looked at Motown.

The sound is nothing like the stuff they did when they left Motown & if you like that then probably best to listen to this before you buy
