Very poor game, 9 May 2002
I have to say this game is pretty bad. I bought it in a Sale and was hoping I'd got a bargain, but then realised I'd wasted the little amount of money I payed for it.
I'm almost always pleased with any kind of game, and very rarely find faults with them. I like to just enjoy them for what they are. But this game was just too bad. I tried to force myself to like the game, and played it quite a few times, but I just couldn't find any good points about it. I thought the graphics were pretty poor, but then I don't have a very good graphics card, so that wouldn't help. I wouldn't have minded about the graphics if the gameplay was good, but it wasn't. For starters, the maps are very repetitive, and I found them bland and unintersting. Also, the computer opponents should have been highlighted much more, rather than just being a glimpse of a jet ski which then becomes a small dot. It's not that they are fast, it's just that the maps are so wide. You never find yourself close to any of the other opponents. Even when they do overtake you, which is very rare, it's too easy to take the lead again. Basically, it's definitely not for people who want a challenge. The game menu's are extremely annoying and the individual section titles are very unresponsive. I constantly found myself clicking away with no response - not a big complaint, but still worth noting. This was nothing compared to the sound effects though, which were, how do I say this........complete rubbish. I literally had to turn the sound off to play, because the engine noise is too loud and extremely aggravating, and the music is far too boring and quiet. I tried tweaking the sound levels in the game but it didn't help. It is honestly one of the most annoying noises. These may sound like petty complaints, but unfortunately they are all enough to make this a bad game.
At the end of the day, there are bound to be some people that like this game, but please listen to my warnings, as it definitely isn't for the majority.

I found this game to be one of the best simulation games around as it gives you all the thrills of being on a jetski without getting wet. It is also very addictive as you can race against the computer or against your friend. You can also try to beat your best time in the time trial mode on any of the courses, there is also a treasure hunt mode, which you can race on any of the courses. It is very good value for money
