From Amazon.co.uk

Abel Ferrara's taste for the sensational is on display in the flawed but interesting Dangerous Games, even though its subject matter is a long way from the genre material in which he has mostly specialised. The film is a psychological drama in which the Method manipulations of director Eddie (Harvey Keitel) prey on the weaknesses of coke-head actor Burns (James Russo) and insecure soap star Sarah (Madonna) to a point where reality breaks down for all three of them--and, in the film's last moments, the audience too; we are left traumatically hanging by a profound ambiguity in what we have just seen. Ferrara moves backwards and forwards between naturalistic and staged shots: we see scenes in hand-held verité and as rushes on a video. The over-wrought drama of consumerism, decadence and possible redemption that is being shot in the film is clearly intended to be directly relevant to their lives and is only marginally more melodramatic; at one point, Eddie's wife arrives unexpectedly at his hotel room moments after Sarah has left his bed. Keitel gives his usual authoritative performance as a weak man breaking under the weight of his pretensions; as Sarah, Madonna gives one of her less bad performances, attractively underplaying amid a storm of hamminess. On the DVD: the DVD only gives us subtitles and the trailer as extras. --Roz Kaveney

Starring Madonna (don't let that put you off) Harvey Keitel and James Russo, and directed by Abel Ferrera, this is an interesting psychological drama about a directors obsession with his film, and the stars breakdown of reality during ther making of it.
A dark, interesting but flawed film, which is well acted (certainly top 3 for Madonna, Evita and Desperately Seeking Susan being her best) but leaves you unsatisfied because of the ambiguous ending and that the film they are making seems to be more interesting than the actual film!
Its worth noting, that Madonna refused to do any promotional work on this film, as she was disappointed with the edit. Apparently her character was much stronger prior to editting than the victim portrayed in the final cut.
No extras on the DVD.

There are some facts not to be missed here. The film is definitely a pointless one. There is no obvious or hidden message. But this doesn't stop the film from being an interesting one. It's one of those psychedelic cult films which you either love or hate.Harvey Keittel and Madonna act excellent, making the film one of their most underrated.Only problem is not much people can relate with the situations described here

Fantastic movie, what a pity that it did not get the succes that it deserves, Madonna and Harvey Keitel are extremely good on their roles, and Madonn is actually able to prove that she can be very good if the role is good enough.
Very recomendable, not only for Madonna fans, but for all those peole who like to enjoy a good movie

It was never going to be the blockbuster that keeps evading the undisputed Queen of Pop. The film scripts the interaction of the stars and the casts working career and the effects on their personal life. The film mixes the scripted "fly on the wall" footage of the making of a film with footage of the film within the film. Make sense ?? Unfortunately the film doesn't tend to either. Good performances by Keitel and Madonna, but unfortunately this does not carry what is overall a poor film.

i would like to say this was a very good film, and the product came in good condition. If your a fan of madonna you will not be dissapointed. This film is filmed liked a documentary about the actors in their film how they get on or not get on you will have to watch it to get the benefit, my description is not fulfilling the content of the film very well. Do enjoy
