5.0 out of 5 stars moore of the same please!, 12 April 2006

(REAL NAME)
Roger Moore made the Saint his own in the 1960's with this great series of action and adventure. His determination to see justice done and right the many wrongs make these series excellent viewing. Add plenty of location filming, cars of character, actors of worth including delicious actresses of the time and you have the recipe for hours of great viewing. There were 118 episodes made including 2 film length features made in the 1960's, 4 of which are on this DVD.I recommend them all to you.In the Arrow of God a nasty columnist meets a pointed end and a whole host of secrets are unearthed. Element of Doubt has intrigue and the just desserts of a bent lawyer. Charitable Countess and The Effete Angler provide 2 more hours of Simon Templar digging for truth and meeting very pleasant young ladies on the way.Buy it and enjoy!

2.0 out of 5 stars Dull 'Enemy Within' style thriller, 8 Jun 2002
By A Customer
Is the man you married really who you think he is? Thats the question posed by 1996's "Element Of Doubt" when the marriage of central characters Beth(Gina Mckee) and Richard(Nigel Havers) starts looking a little rocky. Beth's friends and family have never liked Richard and when Beth receives an ominous threat she begins to wonder if he is actually trying to kill her and goes looking for answers whilst protecting herself.

Thats the basis of this movie - nothing in the slightest bit original in other words and pretty much the general standard of your average made for TV movie. Once you know what's going on, its a pretty lifeless run through to the inevitable twist at the end and straight to the boot sale with the video. A lifeless screenplay and some third rate acting assigns this to the bargain bucket. Buy this if you are a die hard thriller fan, like TV movies or are a big Nigel Havers fan - otherwise, check out something like Double Jeopardy or Body Language which offer more of the same, but with a little more style.
