Amazon.co.uk Review
Lots happened behind the scenes between seasons and early on in the seventh year of the hit comedy, leaving audiences speculating that this might be the last. Perry became seriously ill again, and returned looking more emaciated than eve r. Cox regained weight, but despite finishing Scream 3 happily, things were already rocky with David Arquette. Much was made in the press about Aniston marrying Brad Pitt, of course, but the real news (allaying fans' fears) was NBC's expensive renewal of the cast for two years at $750,000 per episode each (more than six times their previous increase). On-screen, at least there was Chandler and Monica's engagement lasting the whole year, despite predictable ups and downs (eg: "T.O.W. The Truth About London" revealing that Monica fancied Joey). By the time we finally get to "T.O.W. Chandler's Dad" (Kathleen Turner), it seems inevitable that the two-part finale will be an insane mess--but with a happy-ish ending. Sure enough, "T.O.W. Chandler and Monica's Wedding" features Gary Oldman joining in the chaos as Chandler repeatedly goes missing. Other star-turns in the year were Seinfeld's Jason Alexander as a suicidal Office Manager, Susan Sarandon as soap queen bitch Jessica Lockhart, Denise Richards as one of Ross and Monica's endless number of cousins and Winona Ryder as a surprise old friend, prompting "T.O.W. Rachel's Big Kiss". But perhaps the most telling instalment of this weirdly atmospheric year was "T.O.W. They All Turn Thirty". It suggested that maybe the Friends are all getting too old to carry on living their frivolous lives the same way after all. Paul Tonks

5.0 out of 5 stars Friends series 7 - Definately NOT past it!, 4 Nov 2002
By A Customer
Series 7 has got to be one of the best series so far, proving that the entire cast and crew are not past their sell by date! Episode 14 (The One Where They All Turn Thirty) is the funniest episode of the series. It follows the events of all the friends' thirtieth birthdays. What with Ross buying a cool sports car which then gets stuck between two other cars; Monica getting hammered and having to attend a formal party thrown by Chandler, and Joey unable to cope with the pressures of turning thirty, it really does turn out to be a hilarious episode (especially when the friends' attempt to free Ross' car - 'Just lift...and slide.') Also on the same video comes the hilarious episode 'The One With The Truth About London'. Although the main plot is very funny, (where Monica reveals who she really wanted to 'hook up with' in London), the sub-plot featuring Ross, Rachel and Ben is even more so, when Rachel teaches Ben some 'practical jokes'. The ending of this episode is hilarious, the culmination of some very, very funny episodes! I won't spoil it for you, but the video is most definately worth buying!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but not great., 23 Jun 2001
Good but not great. This pretty much sums up this video. If you hav been a fan of the program since series1 you'll will probably love it (i do). If you haven't and are just beginning to watch FRIENDS i wouldn't recomend it as it will prevent you from watching again. There are many different story lines all of which are hillarious but can become tedious at times due to the long gaps in-between jokes or too many puns all cramed in at once. I would definatly recomend this to a fan of the series.
