4.0 out of 5 stars A Movie to See. A wonderful cast with a wonderful story line, 10 Jul 2001

This is a wonderful movie. It tells a story about three small children from Portugal in 1917. (This is based on a true story.) These three small children have apparitions of the Mary the Mother of Christ and although they try to keep it quiet it gets out. Their families, community, religious elders and police put the children through trials and tribulations. Yet these three little ones stand by their story, even when threatened with death.

Although the special effects are wanting, for the time that this movie was made they are good. But it would be wonderful to see this remade with the technology that we have today.

The basic story line is one that will make you wonder at the human mind if you believe the children only imagined these sighting, or it will make you wonder at the human spirit if you believe they did see what they saw. Either way you are in for a treat.

These two films and a lot more like them should be put on a DVD. They are films of the highest standard and should be seen
by all.

I would not purchase them in VHS Format but I would not hesitate to buy them should they become available on DVD.

So get burning.
