A neat pack of games of the same scale as windows solitair and minesweeper.

Unlike these giant disks of freeware/shareware/demo versions of games with their nag screens and widely varying quality and system requirements, these gamnes all fit together nicely. One install program and you have the full version of all the games.

The games are all nice and are organized under a cute launcher that lets you pick the category quickly shows you all the games of the type.

With 50 games to choose from there are bound to be some winners and loosers but chances are there will be a couple that you'll love. There are games of many skill levels. Some will appeal more to children and other will applease more to adults. My favorites are olive wars (one of the funniest versions of a classic arcade game I've seen) and bulldozer (a puzzle game that is extremely addicting).

They all have a nice consistant look with cute graphics and not too overwelming sound. The controls are consistent between the games and are configurable if you don't like the defaults.

Most of the games are pretty obvious but there's help throughout; at the launcher, when you first startup the game and from the help menu you get window help on each game and balloon help.

They certainly aren't Everquest or Quake but if you want to spend 10 minutes just goofing around and relaxing these fit the bill perfectly.

I enjoy this package quite a bit. It's easy to get hooked on some of the games. It's a fair mix of luck and strategy and can be a quite pleasant diversion. These games are timeless and don't lose their appeal.

I admit it -- I play these games at my office all the time. They're perfect for the occasional escape and down time because they don't make a lot of demands upon you, your time, or resources. I think there's still a need for small, but challenging games. I don't want to have to read a 60 page book to play a game. Sometimes simple is better. Sure, I don't like some of the games. But that's the strength of a game pack -- I find the ones I like. Bulldozer is my all-time favorite -- fun and highly addictive. It alone is worth the price of the entire set.
