Michael Crawford gives an amazing performance, in this show! He sings, dances, walks the high wire.... Is there no end to this man's talent? The production is fast moving, bright, colorful, funny and sad. The entire cast is super! All this, and it's appropriate for all ages. From Grandma to the pre-schoolers, everyone will love it!

For anyone who is hesitant about ordering this DVD because it is Region One fear not- it is actually region free. The picture and sound quality are TV broadcast standard and Michael Crawford's performance is superb.

What a shame that this BBC recording of a British theatrical production starring Michael Crawford in a role made for him is now only available as an import! (Luckily I have the right equipment to play it on!). This recording, which was made twenty or so years ago, has a few faults but these can be forgiven. It still captures the excitement and energy of the live stage performances of a superb cast playing in a legendary musical, and will be enjoyed by young and old alike. Grab it while you can. It is a collectors' piece!
