MK Trilogy - PSX, 12 April 2001
By A Customer
MKT combines all of the past 3 MK games onto one CD. All the characters from all 3 games are there, including the bosses, and there are even new finishers. However, being a CD, there are disadvantages. Such as when Shang Tsung morphs - the game either gives you two or three characters to choose, or it has to load each morph. It can be frustrating, but beating an opponent with his own fatality is its own reward. Despite loading problems, MKT is a great game. The fatalities are there, including new Brutalities. All in all there are 34 characters to select, and there are loads of cheats, too. MKT mixes the best of all 3 games, into one package - great value!!

Midway's Best Effort Yet., 21 Aug 2003
Ever Since I first recived a copy of the first Mortal Kombat, I have been addicted to the game and its sequels. Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Following as the fifth installment in the series of violent beat em up games,MKT has manged to grow yet even greater, With a whole new range of features and characters "32 plus 4 Bosses to be exact, The PS Version also features clasic MK Characters From MK1, Kano,Jax,Rayden Classic which are among these" each featuring there own large arsenal of crippling manovers to inflict as much pain on the oppositon as possible avalible from start,Thus plenty of game time to be had! As that wasnt enough there is a whole selection of arena's for you to try your killing skills out among the kontenders. The arena's all feature among previous MK Games, Thus theres a whole lot of diffrent areas to battle it out in. So in Short MK Trilogy is a combined effort of Mk1,Mk2,Mk3 and Some UMK Features. Making it a very powerful contender among beat em ups! The Question can it compete with Todays modern 3D Fighting games? Yes it can it has good replay due to the amount of Characters and features present. The Reason I cant give MKT, 5 / 5 Stars is because in my view, a game has to be pretty much flawless, im not easy to give out 5 /5 stars, or 10/10, the Loading times for Shang Tsung Morphing effects lets the game down a little, but nothing to effect the overall MK Experince.Rated SythiaN Stylie Copyright Lord SythiaN 2003 Gameplay - 8/10 Sound 9/10 Graphics 6.5/10 Fun Factor 10/10 Replay Value 10/10 Overall 8.5/10 - Great Learning Curve - 1 Hour FPS: Thats Tricky Im Estamating since its a 2D Game the anamation on the PS is not terribly free flowing,4-6 fps on each character anamation. Value for money: I would say so! <----Thx For Checking My Review out ----->

A Classic, 23 April 2004
I am no proffesional when it comes to computer games, but this is a classic. The playability and anger factor is great alongside the visious blood-thirsty Fatalities. This introduces the comical Babality and Animality death moves too, which can make beating your opponent that extra bit more humiliating for them. The soundtrack is excellent and fits the style
and mood of the 90's computer game perfectly. Much fun in
single player too as you can battle through levels of difficulty
to kill Shau Kahn. Amusing quotes and apperances by
the production team bring a smile across your face as you uppercut your opponents onto a bed of spikes.
You can also choose from a wide range of charcters from
gods to robots, along with being able to change from
classic Rayden to a newer Rayden costume along with JAX
and others too. Brutal, fun and simply brilliant!
