This was the CD I was waiting for from Brian. I swear I would love to bring him home, stand him in the corner and tell him to sing to me all night. His rendition of Carrickfergus is so sweet and beautiful it nearly makes me cry. He has such a unique voice, he deserves to be ultra ultra successful world wide.

Brian Kennedy is such a gifted performer: His voice is simply unlike anyone else's, with its grace, soul and sensitivity. He's also got outstanding taste, both in original material and the songs he chooses to cover. This two-disc set includes tracks from both "The Great War of Words" and "A Better Man," plus "Sweetmouth," the album that featured a group consisting of Brian and Mark Nevin. There's not a bad track here -- pay particular attention to Brian's playful reading of John Lennon's "Intuition" and the joyful "Put the Message in the Box." The only drawback: One wishes that the compilers of the discs chose more of Brian's obscure material, such as B sides, unreleased tracks, etc. Otherwise, it's hard to find fault with this collection, especially as it includes liner notes from Brian himself. Let's hope there's a volume two somewhere down the line.

Brian Kennedy, truly one of the great voices of today. As support to Van Morrison or even better as a solo artist in his own right.Covering years 1990-1997, a great album to keep in the car, this album certainly will have you foot tapping and singing along with some great ballads. This is a voice you will not tire of. A must for all Brian Kennedy fans. Order it today before it sells out!
