I already had Enchant's first cd (Blueprint Of The World) when I bought this record and I really didn't know why in in the first place I went to by Break by Enchant. I didn't really like BotW and I didn't have very high hopes for this one neither.

So I listened this record from start to finish one day and thought "boy that was booring". I put it on the "must sell soon" pile and moved on. But day after that at my work I noticed that I was huming the title song. "That's strange" I thought. So when I came home I took the CD out of it's shelf and put it on my player to give it a second change. And then it worked like a train's toilet. And after third listen I was totaly sold.

It's hard to say which songs are the best, because they all work after you have listened the cd about five or more times. Break is very strong and emonational song about, well, the breaking of a long relationship. Defenseless tells about a man trying to give up his drug use. The Cross is a wonderfull ending with beatiful haunting melody which will stay in your head a long time after it has ended. (note that there is a version with one bonus song, Once A Week, but that is in my opinion the weakest track on album). All songs deals with depressing things but in an Enchanting way.

This is a record (as all good records are) that grows with multiple listens. Word from a learned, do not give up after first listen, everybody (and everything) deserves a second change. After this I have bought all the other Enchant's records and I have learned to like them too. Do yourself a big favour and try this one, you won't regret.
