Amazon.co.uk Review
Swedish singer Bosson was nominated for the Best Original Song Golden Globe Award for this album's lead-off cut and single "One in a Million". Its free-floating, lightweight pop perfectly reflects the light-hearted humour that underpins Sandra Bullock's film about an undercover FBI agent sent to infiltrate the Miss America pageant. Beats per minute are kept at a brisk, steady pace as even old-timer showboater Tom Jones has his kitsch classic "She's a Lady" remixed and hyper-energised by electronica artist BT. The Baha Men, who let the dogs out, try for hit number two with "Get Yer Party On". A*Teens provide a smooth remake of Abba's "Dancing Queen", while Los Lobos update the Wilson Pickett R&B classic "Mustang Sally". Southern Culture on the Skids, with the help of a festive horn section, keep things lively with "Liquored Up and Lacquered Down". No question here, there's a party goin' on. --
