A neat remote-controlled car racing title. RC Revenge Pro delivers some great PlayStation 2 quality graphics and a lot of addictive racing. There are six themed worlds in total, with four tracks in each world (making 24!). But you can only race six tracks to start with. In addition, there are ten secret vehicles to earn, making 20 in total. The race tracks themselves are incredibly varied offering lots of shortcuts, split routes and, in some cases, you can even race cars against boats. RC Revenge Pro has a cool feature whereby your RC car can travel through a warp gate and turn into a boat. This adds quite a bit to the gameplay as you try to figure out the fastest route for each track. The weapons in the game are also quiet spectacular, although some can be a bit annoying. Favourites of mine were the rockets (blast your opponents as they race past) and the water bubble - a difficult to aim weapon, but if you get it right it's incredibly satisfying. Graphically, RC Revenge Pro is typical of the launch PS2 games - a significant mark up from the PlayStation but nothing absolutely spectacular. However, the environments themselves are littered with animations, such as a giant octopus (this boat track is one of the best looking PS2 levels I've seen), dancing flowers in the cartoon world, and suits of armour swinging axes at the cars as they race past in the horror world. Another feature that I'm just getting to grips with is the track editor. This is a fairly simple to use editor enabling you to make your own race tracks. Each track is constructed from a series of blocks that are glued together. Once you're happy with your track you can choose one of the six themes to decorate the scenery and then race against the computer or a friend. With the random track generator option quick playable games are easily accessible - excellent! Overall, RC Revenge Pro offers something different for PlayStation 2 racing fans. Strongly recommended.

Damn.

This is the successor to RC Revolt which I played on my PC. That game kicked ass bigtime.

So I largely bought this due to the assumption that this was an even better version than Revolt, and for my new PS2. The game however is more like a childrens game, and was a big dissapointment.

The graphics didn't even live up to Revolt.

So if you liked Revolt, don't count on this being your cup of tea.

I've been playing this game solid over the weekend. This game is neat. The cars are cool, and the control is sweet.

It's great in multiplayer, but the best part is the championship mode where you can unlock the better cars and boats and get more tracks.

I've finished Ridge Racer already, but rc pro has another 48 tracks so it's keeping me playing.

The down side is the presentation which is a bit naff, but the playability makes up for this.

Recommended.
