5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, simply brilliant, 29 Jul 2003
Who couldn't love Bob Hope? This review will reveal itself as being more of a tribute rather than an actual review, because Bob Hope deserves the tribute. He was without a doubt naturally funny, and brilliant to match in every film he made, especially in the string of 'The Road To...' films. Of course he was type casted, as all great actors tended to be in that era, yet he made every film seem different and ensured the formula was fresh and new to watch. Even now when I watch him I find it hillarious, and the films weren't even intended for me, as I am only 18. Of course I am biased, and his death has caused me to write this, but no matter what film you watch, he is spectacular and could brighten anybody's day. His films are timeless, and although there will a surge of tribute DVD's, remember him as he was... his films will carry on the greatness of this fine actor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Colourised?, 5 Jan 2007
By Mr. B. Whittingham "classyfilms" (Nottingham, England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is a great partnership, Crosby & Hope rank amongst the most popular comedy duo's of all time. The 'Road' films were the biggest attraction in cinema during the late 30's; 40's and 50's, in the comedy partnership style. Why this particular offering is billed as a "colourised version" is beyond me, as this film was made in glorious colour.
There is no need to explain the plot line as the laughs come thick and fast. There is one plus in this movie, Bob Crosby, who had an extremely funny cameo appearance.
