5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible, 4 Jan 2004
By D. Barlass "dogboy73" (UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
It's hard to put into words quite how beautifull Boards of Canada's music is. From the first time I sat & listened to their 'Music has the right to children' LP (After skipping through the tracks in a record shop before buying!) I was amazed. I've been into electronic music since I was at school & in around 15 years of listening to it I'd never heard anything as perfect as this. Their music is powerfull yet subtle, Dark yet uplifting, Nostalgic yet futuristic. BoC have taken electronic music to new hieghts & demonstrated as never before how to put soul & emotion into electronic music. This EP, for me, rates as one their best releases to date but all of their music is absolutely essential for any fan of electronic music.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not a cloud in sight..., 6 Jan 2004

If these hauntingly beautiful tracks fail to send you into a strangely bitter-sweet trance-like state as you reminisce about lovers past and summers gone by, then you must surely be a member of "Busted" & your soul lost forever...

5.0 out of 5 stars Unbelievable, 31 Dec 2004
By Al (London) - See all my reviews
I cried. Properly cried. Having never heard any other Boards of Canada music I bought their entire back-catalog based on this EP. The emotions it conjours up in everyone will be different, but with it's jaw-dropping slickness and beautifully gorgeous synth sounds echoing through your mind, it's bound to conjour up something. Buy it. It's an emotional experience.
