Fantastic (and frustrating!), fun for all the family to play together, Countdown is a great game that challenges players to challenge themselves. The game comes with letter cards, number cards, a "number randomiser" (press the button and it gives you the number you have to aim for), score pads and a sand timer. The only real pity is that the players have to rely on their own vocal talents to make that famous Countdown noise... and therein lies a game in itself! (Age 10 to adult) --Susan Harrison

Based on Channel 4's popular show. This game represents the show, consisting of nine rounds: six letter games, two number games and one conundrum, although there is no reason to get stage fright because you can play at home in your living room!

I'm a university student and sometimes(only sometimes) we like to do more in our flat on a night than go out and get drunk. A group of us put our money together to buy it and after our first night in, we felt it was an excellent game and are making "Countdown Night" a weekly event. Unlike most games it gives you the chance to use that piece of grey matter between your ears(Usually known as the brain) and get you thinking!

I would definally recommend it to anyone who wants a good night in with either family or friends

And you can even bend the rulesa a bit(like we did) and make whoevere loses the round take a shot of something vile i.e Tiquilla,Vodka (MAY ONLY APPLY TO UNIVERSITY STUDENTS)

Anyway

BUY IT!!!
