Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review
Based on the PlayStation and N64 games, Cybertiger sees you take the club as Tiger Woods in this golf game for the Game Boy.

Based over three courses; Hawaii, Grand Canyon and Mt lava, you have three modes of play to tackle your golfing swing. Whether it be trying to finish 18 holes as quickly as you can or simply sticking with the career mode offering you the chance to take a character from kid to teenager to adult. Cybertiger has it all here.

Alternatively, you can of course link two machines together and play head to head with your friends.

If you're a mad golfer and you need that little extra golf when on the fairway already, then this will certainly quench your thirst for the game. --Stuart Miles

Manufacturer's Description
We're not leaving traditional golf behind. We're taking it to another level. CyberTiger for the Game Boy Colour delivers a great-looking golf experience with the emphasis on fun and off-the-wall features, allowing players to adjust the ball's flight in mid-air or find power-ups to radically alter the cut-and-dried gameplay found in other golf games.

1.0 out of 5 stars A complete Betrayal, 19 Dec 2000
This game is a complete betrayal of the cybertiger comics and the TV series from the 60's.

Take level 4 for instance, the real cybertiger would never miss an opportunity to make a joke after impaling his enemies on a golf club. He doesn't even say his trademark phrase "Suck on that!" after choking one enemy with a golf ball.

While it's impressive that they've got full motion video working on a gameboy the depiction of cybertiger's origins is completely inaccurate. All true fans know that he got his powers from a radioactive golf ball NOT from a radioactive golf club.

All true fans should stay away.

5.0 out of 5 stars Roooaaaaaaaaaar!, 14 Dec 2000
By A Customer
Forget Cybersex, Cybernet and even the Cybermen (from Doctor Who). Now we have Cybertiger! I must admit that I never did read the original comic series on which this game is based. Whether or not any previous knowledge of Cybertiger is essential is hard to say, but I certainly managed to have fun with this game nevertheless.

The development team have done a remarkable job of squeezing every last drop of processing power from the Gameboy for Cybertiger. The graphics are rich and luscious, perfectly recreating the city of Neo-Liverpool in all its rust-ridden glory. Sound effects and music are spot on too, including a revolutionary new technique called Headspin that fools the gamer into hearing full Dolby Surround from the Gameboy's tiny mono speaker.

This isn't a game for the novice gamer though. The first end-of-level boss, the evil Faldo, doesn't go down easily. But if you're clever enough to collect all the power-ups from the previous levels, especially the supercharged Wonder-Club, you might just sneak past him.

I'm only about halfway through the game, but even at this early stage I can most assuredly give it two thumbs up (or five stars, seeing as Amazon don't use a thumbs rating). I'm currently up to the underwater stage. I won't give too much away, but needless to say fans of the X-Files are in for a treat when you discover what's lurking in Basement #37.

Top stuff! Now, who wants to lend me their Cybertiger comics?
