5.0 out of 5 stars GUILTY AS CHARGED!!!!!!!, 16 Aug 2002
By A Customer
Guilty As Charged 2000----9th January 2000----Birmingham,AL

1)Mikey Whipwreck VS CW Anderson.
(This was a good match but too short.Mikey takes a nasty bump
from the apron to the concrete at the start of the match).

2)Simon Diamond,Roadkill & Danny Doring VS Nova,Kid Kash & Jazz.
(This was a good entertaing match with some great moves).

3)Tajiri & Super Crazy VS Little Guido & Jerry Lynn.
(This was a surprise partner match. It was an excellent 4 or maybe
5 star match).

4)New Jack VS Angel.
(This was a brutal match to determine who was the king of the
streets. It involves a staple gun,a vacuum cleaner,a car roof and
various other weapons).

5)TV TITLE-Rob Van Dam VS Sabu.
(This was definitely the match of the night. If you are a Sabu fan
you must see this match because its Sabu's last ECW PPV.It was
a 5 star classic with chairs, tables and suicidal stunts).

6)TAG TITLES-Tommy Dreamer & Raven VS Lance Storm & Justin-
Credible.
(Another brutal war with tables and chairs.Theres a great start
to this match aswell).

7)ECW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP-Mike Awesome VS Spike Dudley.
(This was an amazing match where Spike takes a bad beating. They
destroy about 6 or 7 tables and Spike really puts up a fight
against Awesome).

I would recommend this DVD to any wrestling fan.Not one match is
bad and the last 3 matches are brilliant.

4.0 out of 5 stars ecw first ppv of 2000 and what a way to start off, 31 Oct 2000
The first ppv of the year ecw provides some good matches from sabu v.s mr ppv rob vam dam this two have had some great matches in the past but this one in my opinion is the best they have had. for the ecw world title litte spike duduley challenges big mike awesome this is a great match where spike takes some nasty bumps. The 3rd main event match puts the tag titles on the line as tommy dreamer and his unlikely patner raven take on the impact players lance storm and justin creible in a fairly good match. Other matches put new jack against angel the ppv also includes roadkill, jerry lynn, simon diamon and many more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Crashing and burning - but you would never know it., 4 Sep 2006
By Mr. Cathal Magner - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
At this point ECW was on a downward spiral. Many of it's top talent had jumped ship to WWE, the whole company got a raw deal from TNN that held a strangle hold on the product so great that it became impossbile to pull in revenue. And worst of all, cheques started bouncing and people were growing restless.

Yet possibly the reason why people have been clamouring for an ECW revival rather than a WCW revival is because unlike the latter, the quality of the matches and the shows in ECW were as good as ever. In fact, with the introduction of wrestlers like Jerry Lynn, Super Crazy and Jajiri, it was better than ever.

This show, however was a disappointment and it capped off the final year of ECW's life.

The disappointing opener between Mikey Whipwreck and CW Anderson was quickly redeemed by the outstanding efforts of Jerry Lynn and Little Guido against Tajiri and Super crazy. A fine example of cruiserweight wrestling marred only by the fact that the booking was a mess.

Sabu went at it against Rob Van Dam in Sabu's final ECW Performance. Considering the kind of matches these two had had in the past everyone was expecting a classic - it wasn't. In fact it didn't even come close, but it was still a decent effort.

New Jack Vs Angel was a violent but enjoyable mess.

The Impact Players Vs Tommy Dreamer and Raven was an enjoyable brawl that included the usual run ins and plunder shots but it was damn fun to watch.

Finally in the main event, Awesome demolished Spike Dudley in what was Matt "Spike dudley" Hyson's finest performances. More tables were broken in this match and any other match on the PPV combined.

All in all, a strong card which didn't quite deliver. Still, this is a good show which contains enough elements to please any ECW fan. Hard to believe that ECW survived as long as it did considering Raven was about to leave and Awesome was about to screw the company over by going to WCW while still ECW shamp.
