The funny thing about "he's simple..." is that at first i got the impression that they had run out of ideas after about 2 minutes and resorted to just playing 6 more minutes of melancholy chords. But with every listen i realise more and more the beauty of the track. The lyrics tell a fairly nonsensical story, but this is no ballad, it is more than that, it is a work of art in two parts. The first part is guitar based musical heaven, the second a piano accompanied stroll through emotions of self doubt and the sense of being part of something bigger. That may sound like crap, but when i hear this track it moves me to think that although the world can sometimes be a bad place to be, i can rise above it and i will not give in. I cannot fault music that makes me feel like that. Ultimately I know that one opinion counts for very little and this review won't be widely read, but for me this song makes me feel incredible, simple as that.

From the lightly strummed guitars near the beginning through to the simple piano and the soft melody, this song is heartbreakingly simple. This is going into the soundtrack of my life.

At nine minutes long, this single is a shockingly brave and beaufiful release. It stops, starts and flows all at the same time but it's not geeky. It's intentions are pure. Melody and atmosphere are the most important things and they are what make this record special.
