CD Description
SOUL PROVIDER, the follow-up to Michael Bolton's commercialbreakthrough THE HUNGER, is the album that turned the singer into a superstar. Like the previous album, SOUL PROVIDER features two covers. Bolton trots out an homage to Ray Charles' famous version of "Georgia on My Mind" (featuring background-vocal work from disco diva Vicki Sue Robinson, AWOL on record since "Turn the Beat Around"), and unearths his own "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You"- originally written for '80s icon Laura Brannigan. Bolton also duets with Susi Benson ("From Now On") and collaborates with legendary Brill Building tunesmiths Barry Mann and Cynthia Weill on the grandiose ballad "Stand up for Love".
