5.0 out of 5 stars First EP from emo-metallers sounding great, 24 Feb 2002
By A Customer
This is the first, and heaviest release from the British emocore, metal group Hundred Reasons. The vocal production IS raw, but still sounds amazing, and the three tracks here all manage to give a great impression with their emotional energy and high level of tecnical ability.
This is heavier than HR's subsequent releases but still is distinctly reconisable as the band today. Well worth listening to, as some of the very latest material (has anyone heard singles club 2? A poor B-side at best) has occasionaly been underwhelming.
This is essential if you want to be able to realise the full scope of HR's, and I can only hope for new material to continue to live up to this debut recording.

5.0 out of 5 stars you must buy this now, 6 Feb 2002
I'm gonna have to disagree with the other reviews about this cd with people saying they sound like the Deftones and Tool in that...they sound nothing like them. However, this band represents what modern, new (no, not "nu") rock music can produce with soul-stirring, powerful lyrics and actual musical talent. Shines out amongst a lot of the other rubbish flying around at the moment. I cannot recommend this highly enough. This and Rival Schools from across the pond.

5.0 out of 5 stars stunning debut single, 5 Oct 2000
By A Customer
Hundred Reasons are the most exciting new British band around right now. Live as a support act they've blown away the headliners on several occasions I've seen and this single does not disappoint. It rocks like a beast, in particular the 3rd song slow learner while remaining highly melodic. Singer Colin's voice has a fantastic range and feeling , and the guitars are reminiscent of nu-metal gods the deftones. Hope the album comes out soon.....

5.0 out of 5 stars Among their best work.
I wasn't sure about this at first. Cerebra didn't really stand out in my mind and I preferred just about every other Hundred Reasons song I'd heard. Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Mindblowing
What a statement of intent. Cerebra is an awesome debut single, building from an intro that reminds me of U2's I Will Follow into a mass of tortured vocals and jagged guitars. Read more
