Just as aphids tend the stems of the plants that construct this world's flora, Aphex Twin sits at the edges of the contemporary music scene and creates his own healing commentary to the oppostition he finds therein. He is the man responsible for some of the most heart-achingly beautiful music around. This is music to die for, music to live for, and most importantly it helps take the boundaries of this epoch forward several light years. This is progressive music, music to advance the passage of our knowledge of the power to move, sway and alter human emotions. As valid as Jazz, Rock or even Cartoon Pop like Bis, Ambient Electronica is a summation of the major artistic movements of the world. Think of the Renaissance, the Enlightenment, think the approach of total karmic tranquility as man gets ever closer to some form of peace and perfection.

With nods to Can, Eno and even Fugazi, Aphex Twin has made another great record. This is the soundtrack to the greatest film of all, and the one in which we each star - Life.
