Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review

Expectations ran high for this game, due to its exciting, eponymous movie and the exceptional Nintendo 64 James Bond game GoldenEye 007. And while this game presents the variety and intrigue one would expect from the beloved licensed-to-kill, martini-sippin' spy, it would have benefited from a bit more polishing. Don't expect this game to be on par with the games and movies that preceded it. In fact, if you are looking for a GoldenEye-like experience for the PlayStation, you'd be much better off with the WWII period piece, Medal of Honour.

Tomorrow Never Diesuses an auto target mode, but it's far too restrictive to be of use here, requiring players to stand still in order to keep the target locked. The game loyally follows the film, but when the action intensifies--such as a hot pursuit on skis, or flying a nuclear warhead-laden jet out of a hot zone--players are forced to either relinquish control entirely or have minimal input.

Gadgets from Bond's old pal Q are too sparsely used, and the absence of any multiplayer mode seals this game's fate as a small diversion rather than a stellar accomplishment. --Jeff Young

5.0 out of 5 stars Bond , James Bond, 23 Jan 2001
By A Customer
O.K , they're not the real actors or actress's voices , the graphics are fairly sluggish and the controlls take a bit of getting used to . But it is a very enjoyable adventure game . The bossses are easy to kill and there is some really good cutscenes . There are scenes from the film (the TND song , the plane , the badguys to say a few) . I don't know why everyone disses it as it is a good game.

1.0 out of 5 stars If I could... I wouldn't, 4 Jan 2001
I am what I would say is a big 007 fan, i have collected all the movies and although do not own a N64 myself have played Goldeneye in both single and multiplayer modes on a regular basis. Therefore you could understand my excitement when Tomorrow never dies was relesed on the playstation! I however was sadly disapointed with both graphics and playability, as i found that James was very hard to control. The wepons that you can use are rubbish. And i'm positive that it's not Pierce Himself who is playing the voice of 007! However i do believe that the right move was made when they decided not to have this adventure in the first person mode because i believe this would have made it even more shabby than it already is. For this game i would have preferred to see the gaming angle of Meatal gear solid of resident evil! The only perk for me was actually playing the role of 007 and roughly following the movie script!
