The memories of my old flashdance-style dance classes came flooding back when I heard this classic song. At the "Rubicon Dance School" this was a frequent warm up tune, due to its high speed feel-good beat. My astonishment at finding this CD on Amazon.com has definitely increased my respect for them, partly because the single was not released on CD when it first came out!There are 4 tracks on this CD, and compared with the tracks on the Limited edition version, also available on Amazon, I definitely prefer these ones. "Soldier's return" is a mock-military style electric ballad, which brings both a smile to the face and a tear to the eye. And of course, the title song itself - "Who needs love like that" which has been remixed, but still retains the energy, the lyrics, and the sheer cheese of the original. Buy this CD and you by a tiny slice of that embarrassingly funky era the 80's, and a piece of musical nostalgia to show your grandchildren in 2080! Who Needs Love Like That? - Only Erasure can answer this question. But one thing I do know is that we all need music like this!
