Having recently purchased this item, I feel inclined to comment on the quality of the track recorded by Sid himself. The vocals are outstanding, not to mention the cameo appearance from Jamaica's finest, Chuckie Starr.
Unfortunately Sid has now decided to prematurely end his pop career, but at the time he had a good thing going, I think it would be fair to say.
Having bought this record in a low period of my life, I found myself able to open up to Sid Owen's recorded voice. I now am happy and it is all down to this man

WOW! I bet you, like me, thought Sid's talents were limited to being a plain old soap star legend. It's true that Sid Owen was born to grace our tv screens with his moving expressions of bewilderment and anger, but with this all time classic song Sid has shown the world that he can deliver a heart warming and most rocking vocal! Just listen to the putty nosed grease monkey gurn his way through those powerful lyrics, and if you can get to the end of the song without crying than you're a stronger person than I am. Bless you Sidney.

On hearing that Sid Owen was venturing into the pop industry back in 2000, i remember feeling that there was light at the end of a tunnel that was over crowded with poor pop acts such as One True Voice, Las Ketchup and Ja Rule.

However, upon hearing Owen's cover version of the Reggae/Ska classic 'Good Thing Going', i could only think of one word- lacklustre. The 3rd rate production, synthed bass line and 10-a-penny backing vocals extinguished any hope i had for the 21st Century music scene.

All things considered and being coupled with a low budget, 2 bob video, the chart placing of 74 seemed generous for a song that failed to deliver on all fronts in every avenue.

Why Ricky? Why?
