Adds a bit more to the 'Learn to Jive' video., 23 Oct 2001
The learn to jive video is not to be missed for those who want to learn and have little or no experience. This video is classed as part two, although as the basics are covered again, it can be used on its own. It does add a few things to the previous routine, but to be fair you can live without them.If you are really keen buy it! After all it does come at a very reasonable price. If though you are thinking which one of the two to buy, then choose the learn to Jive it's all you need. Excellent presentation, easy to follow and Kav and Lisa Kavanagh are well worth wathching when they are in full flow. Backed by the throbbing rythm of the Cobras, you just have to give it a go. Spend an hour a day practicing, and amaze your friends and yourself in one week, turn heads on the dance floor in three.

A useful follow on from the learn to jive video, 19 Nov 2001
This video can be used on its own, but I suggest that the 'Learn to Jive' is purchased first if you have little or no experience of jive techniques. My wife and I have found that just by learning the easy to follow steps of the in the 'learn to Jive', we can hold our own on the dance floor at Rock 'n' Roll nights. This video enhances the routine further, and between then both you should be confident and proficient in a matter of 2-3 weeeks (providing you practice of course). Kav and Lisa are fun to learn with and great to watch so why not buy both, after all at this price what can you lose?

Great for beginners, 27 Jul 2004
I bought this video for friends who had already gone through the Learn to Jive video. Looking at the video from the perspective of someone who runs a Rock 'n' Roll club and who also teaches Rock 'n' Roll dancing (although not this particular style), I thought it was pretty good. No book or video can beat having a real live person to teach you, but this is definitely the next best thing. This video will teach you to dance a style of Rock 'n' Roll that is very popular at Rock 'n' Roll clubs throughout Britain. It covers many favourite moves and will give you the confidence to get up and dance alongside more experienced dancers. The only thing I would say against it is that you don't get a really good look at Kav and Lisa's feet much while they're teaching a move. My friends have found this a problem and have said that even after a year they're still not really sure what to do with their feet. I guess however some people won't have a problem with this. The video doesn't claim to turn you into an expert and that's not its aim. Its aim is to get you up, dancing and enjoying yourself and this it does well. My club's motto is 'Keeping Rock 'n' Roll Alive' and this video certainly does its bit too. If you're new to Rock 'n' Roll and want to get started, then this may well be the video for you.
