Nimrod, the Biblical Hunter., 22 Nov 2005
The RAF needed resresenting in FS and CFS, but the famous types are not all here. No Lanc or mustang. However, a very interesting collection with excellent panels for each. from the early days comes the Avro Tutor, then a couple of moths(yellow or camo) and the Hind/Fury finish the pre WW2 package.the types from WW2 are Spitfires, strangely matching the marks from CFS, and a couple of Mosquitoes. One has guns and rockets and bombs, good for low level attacks in CFS, the other is for reconnaisance only. then there is a wonderful Halifax mkIII and Wellington, for bombing of course. Finally oin this section is the very short take-off Lysander, with a great panel and a taiul gunner to keep away trouble over the channel. The post war pieces are the not very popular Javelin, the truly British jet, and a couple of Hunters. there EE lightning is a trainer version, as is one of the Hunters. The trainers have 2 seats of course, with the Jet provost also there. to finish comes the Eurofighter, not the only Typhoon here as there is a WW2 version (actuallly a Bombphoon) too. then there is a Nimrod of hunting fame from Genesis, and the transports are given a going over with a VC10. All in all a great package, let down only by the lack of creativity in the CFS missions, 7 of which use only the default Hurricane, the others ONLY the Mk I Spit from here.
