Golf isn't an easy game. Lose concentration for a spilt second and that little white ball is blasted into the rough. Golf Sims on the PC has changed all that, and the ability to drive it down the fairway has become a fairly easy task, until now that is.

PGA Championship Golf 2000 changes all this. Armed with a rather large manual, PGA Championship Golf 2000 offers tournament as well as the option of Quick Start, throwing you straight into the action, which is a great place to practise your style and skill before tackling the five new courses on top of the original eight that are present.

Once you've got over the choice of whether to play The Royal Birkdale or Black Diamond Ranch Golf and Country Club, the options available to you seem endless. Sudden death, Tournament to Handicaps are all present, while the ability of playing 72 holes gives you that real championship feel.

Thanks to a piece of programming called True Swing 3, the game learns from your style of mouse swing. This gives you a more personal level of playing ability while allowing the removal of those loveable swing-o-meters. Although difficult at first--get the wrong stance and your golfer will fall over--the mouse swing feature does become easier the more you play as the game adapts to your style.

This game is aimed at the computing golf pro and if you are looking for the next challenge, then this will definitely feed your urges. However, if the idea of bashing your way around 18 holes is one where you want it to be as easy as possible then is probably best to head for the 19th hole. --Stuart Miles

Tried other Golf Sims such as Links etc? Found them tricky and slow? PGA Golf 2000 is superb with plenty of courses, easy control method, superb graphics and a gameplay loaded with options. Including a superb course editor that will even let you design your own course! I`ve played lots of golf sims and this is without doubt the best. Superb - an instant classic!

Im not really a "real" golfer but I do like a round or two on my PC.
PGA Championship Golf 2000 was the first golf sim I bought.. Let's just say I never had to look any further. There are two swing options available..
'True-swing' which is probably the more realistic, you basically swing the mouse as if it were a golf club. The other is 'Tri-Click' which is a dated control system that the likes of Links 2001 & Tiger Woods PGA Golf are still bogged down by.
The graphics at first glance arent brilliant but when you start to master the ingenius 'true-swing' conrol system the graphics seem unimportant. You can also have a game against your buddies online & there's a great community with plenty of leagues & ladders
In short if you want to play golf on your PC this is the DADDY!

this is the best golf sim i have played.create your own tour or tournament,fab graphics,brilliant gameplay.if there is a better golf sim out there please let me know
