The Microsoft Internet Keyboard gives you one-touch access to e-mail, the Web, and the programs you use most. The familiar, durable keyboard design, customizable Hot Keys, and Control key Shortcut labels help you work more efficiently. Start your browser and surf the Web right from your keyboard - convenient one-touch keys let you search, navigate Web pages, and open your Favorites folder. Use the palm rest to support your hands when not typing, or remove it if that's more comfortable. Put your computer into "sleep" mode (such as suspend, standby, or hibernation) right from your desktop, protecting your data and saving energy. (Functionality is available if your system supports power management and has it enabled, and if all peripherals are compatible with power management).

4.0 out of 5 stars Great keyboard, except..., 28 Jun 2001
By A Customer
...if you have a compacted desk - that is, one of those with a slide-in keyboard tray (typically an Argos or Ikea brand). It's just too difficult to reach the hot keys! I find myself guessing if that really is my e-mail key, or just a back/forward key. But, apart from that fault or my desk, this keyboard is great. Soft clicking keys that are comfortable, and the arm wrest is great (just don't give yourself RSI with it though, by typing with your arms resting on it!). Scores well all round, but not well enough designed for the smaller, minimalist desk that I like to have.

4.0 out of 5 stars Kool keyboard, 14 Nov 2000
Once again microsoft seems to have developed a decent bit of hardware (like the sidewinder), certainly overpowering the os that it is been run against. Easy soft touch keyboard, at a good price. short-cut keys are usfull when in a hurry, saves a lot of time clicking through menus. Wrist rest is also useful when typing up essays and such like us students have to, or sat for hours trying sort out our programming. I was not convinced when i first saw the keyboard but after trying a friends i was converted. No real downsides to this product which is unusually for microsoft.

4.0 out of 5 stars Go for the Pro?, 20 Dec 2002
This is a large and well laid out keyboard, comfortable to use with or without the supplied wrist rest, and with a curved modern design that makes my old keyboard look like a slab of soap. I agree with the reviewer above - if you have a desk with a slide-out keyboard panel (as both of mine have been), then you may have trouble accessing the hotkeys at the top of the keyboard.

Note that this keyboard has no USB options at all (no connector, no additional ports) and now that I am using USB peripherals more and more, I wish I had gone for the Professional version, simply for the convenience of having USB ports at my fingertips.

Hotkeys above the main keyboard are:
Back, Forward, Stop, Mail, Search, Favourites, Web/Home.
Hotkeys above the number pad are:
My Computer, Calculator, Sleep.

Hope this was useful :)
