Like any game reflecting a century-old sport, Empire had a challenge making an unchanging sport remotely interesting to the casual player in Golf Pro. So they pioneered a slightly more challenging mouse control for the onscreen golfer.
It's visually well rendered and challenging but as is the usual syndrome with rereleases, the original has been improved and a sequel released. That second instalment is also now on budget. That means that this program, good as it is, has already been superseded and if you're in the market for a cheap golf game, get the second incarnation. --Kenneth Henry
