Astrology is our oldest science and has been used throughout history fro m primitive times. In the 17th century it was split into the twin sciences of astronomy and astrology, and astrology was driven underground by the Church. Now, as scientists demonstrate how accident and crime figures increase enormously under a full moon, astrology is making a comeback, and once again people are learning to live in harmony with nature. Astrology helps us to understand how our own character has developed since birth, and how we fit into the universe around us. The program's introductory text shows you how to interpret your birth chart by guiding you through a twelve-step procedure, from noting sun and moon positions to finding your planetary ruler. As your experience grows, you are encouraged to move from specifics to your own intuition.
You calculate your personal astrological information on the Person Screen, where you are instructed to enter your name, date and time of birth and locate your place of birth on a world map. This information is stored on your computer, so you won't need to enter it more than once. The difficult part begins not with calculating the chart, which is mostly done by the program, but with interpreting its meaning. The Compatibility Screen allows you to enter similar information for two people, to help you find your ideal partner. At times this is not a particularly user-friendly program, and its graphics and sound can be distracting, but accompanied by patience and further research it can prove a very useful tool. --Daren King
