3.0 out of 5 stars not as good as the original, 2 Oct 2000
By A Customer
There are a couple of reasons to get the new Nutty Professor soundtrack, the first being that it features the new Janet Jackson track (who also starts in the movie). Although the soundtrack moves along in the same vain as the previous Nutty Professor album, mainly featuring hip hop and soul tracks, I don't think that this one is quite in the league of it's predecessor and this despite stand out tracks from Method Man, Redman and Case. The album has nothing to do with the move, except for the Janet track an is just an excuse for Def Jam to show off the artists on their roster. If you're a hip hop fan there'll be plenty here t please you, however if you're looking for something innovative and groundbreaking look for something else, as this is really a mix of commercial type sounds.
