2.0 out of 5 stars Hmmmmmmm..............., 3 Jul 2001
F1 2000 or GP3? I would honestly say GP3.

F1 2000 has great graphics and all the correct listings for the 2000 season, but those are the only things that are better than the highly rated GP3 and you can download patches to upgrade that. With no weather on F1 2000, it never changes and it does get a bit boring when the only time you need to go into the pits is for a scheduled pit stop. There is hardly ever any crashes between other cars and you will be lucky to see any barrel rolls. And to add to that, in qualifying, even if you have the difficulty rating on 100%, you will still qualify pole-position by about 2or3seconds. It would be nice to be a bit more challenging.

After all the hype it got before it came out, I think it was a bit of a let down and if you are planning to buy it, go for Grand Prix 3 instead.

4.0 out of 5 stars On Balance this might be the Best F1 Sim, 4 Aug 2000
By A Customer
After trying out the 3 sim packages currently available, F1 2000 is probably the best overall package.

The mapping of the tracks is more accurate than F1 World GP as is the physics engine. For example, you will notice that riding the curbs is easier when you soften the rear anti-roll bar.

GP3's graphics are not that great, some of the racing options are limited, but the physics engine is very good.

On balance, I would say that this is probably the game to buy.
