5.0 out of 5 stars Emperor Rosko doing what he does best introducing soul music, 18 Nov 2001
By A Customer
What a breath of fresh air to hear Rosko introducing classic soul like "Arhie Bell & the Drells - Hear I go again", "Aretha Franklin - I say a little prayer". I have waited a long time for a CD like this and what a feel good factor it is. What a fantastic present it would make for your soul friends. You will just keep on playing and playing it (thanks Rosko)!

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic soul music linked by the eras top soul DJ., 26 Jan 2001
The album is a compilation of some albums released on atlantic back in the early 70s.Classic atlantic/stax soul music from the likes of Otis Redding,Archie Bell,Dionne Warwick linked together by the Main Man himself, the Emperor Rosko.

Together with the dynamic links, jingles & classic soul, this album is a must for anyone who was around at the time and also for youngsters who want to hear what the early 70s was really like.Pure nostalgia!

It still makes my back crack and liver quiver, child. Not to be understood by the under 40's (their loss) as it was a different time and another era ! Read more

Yes, the music is great but you can get that on any good compilation cd of the sounds of the 70s so what's the attraction of having this old DJ prattling along over the top,... Read more
