CD Description
British Trip-Hop/electronica duo Olive, have signed with Madonna's Maverick Recording Co., dropping their sophomore album TRICKLE. Trumpets, swirling and pulsating keyboards, cooldrum programming and airy, vocals abound on TRICKLE. It's almost an anything goes mix of cool ideas. Consisting of twelve songs mostly written by band members Tim Kellett and Ruth-Ann (vocals), some of the shining moments include "Smile", "Love Affair" and "Speak To Me".
"I'm Not In Love", a cover of the 10cc's song also appears on the album, though you might be familiar with it since it was included on Madonna'sThe Next Big Thing soundtrack. It's a trippy, up-tempo Electronica version of the classic song. TRICKLE is packed with interesting songs and cool vibes. Also check for "Liberty" and "Trust You".

I recently purchased this album as it's an import the price is dearer, but boy is it worth the money. Im the proud owner of 228 cd's and bundles of vinyl, this album is up thier with the best of what i own. I can't single out any particular tracks because they are all classics, the new version of I'm not in love works great as well, if you are debating at forking out for this album debate no more buy it you won't regret it it's a modern day masterpiece. I'm not a Madonna fan but I've got to admit she has great taste in music, she's an Olive fan and so am I. If Olive's 3rd album is up to this standard I can't wait for it's release.

This is the follow up to Extra Virgin which I will say was a class album when it was first released. Again this album is very good but for me this just does not hit the mark were their first one did. The vocals and the chill out are still present but when you start doing covers of other song's to me that is a gap filler because they haven't produced enough of their own material. The song in question 10cc I'm Not In Love did this need to be on the track listing no not really but overall still worth a listen. There is a hidden track after track 12!!!

If you liked Extra Virgin by Olive, you might like this as its more of the same, it has 3 stand out tracks and the rest of ot sounds samey, I liked the tracks Smile, Liberty and the cover version of Im Not In Love by 10cc. Incendentally there is a hidden track after track 12 Beyond The Fray, just keep listening after track 12 finishes and viola (Sorry to ruin the surprise, but it is fairly obvious).
