if you can't make it over to Cape Verde, then find yourself a warm sunny spot on the sofa, grab yourself a tall drink and lose yourself for an hour or so. Who cares if you can't understand Portuguese; the feeling this album gives off is universally good. Teofilo is an awesome songwriter and tracks like 'Tchoro Quemode'leave you with a smile and a warm feeling in the pit of your stomach. Yep. It's as good as that. Winter's coming; this could be just what you need...

Everytime I listened to ethnic music I had boring experiences. Now this Capo Verde Music, strictly influenced by Brasilian music, has opened to me a new world in non-bossa nova brasilian music. The rhytm is soft but not sleep-inducing, there's a secret power that drive me to a real target of music: dream.
