5.0 out of 5 stars This is the Ultimate Rave, 13 Mar 2001
By A Customer
Hey, stop reading those lines and just buy the DVD. This is the ultimate Prince release. U'll find almost every great songs he wrote & U'll see him play, sing, dance like nobody does. Just imagine "Flashlight" with George Clinton, Prince & Maceo Parker alltogether on stage... U're not dreamin', it's on this DVD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Adored it, 2 Dec 2003
All those who knock Prince but heard very few of his songs, watch this. Sure the Purple Rain performance is no where near as good as the film version, but then very few performances by any1 since or before has been. It is still a good version but weighed down by the slightly irritating lenghty intro about God, etc. Nevertheless, just for Kiss (performance of the concert, mixed with P Control), Gett Off (short bt truly amazing), the Blues Medley (how many instruments does he play there?) and American Woman with Lenny Kravitz it is worth it. Still hard to believe everything you hear is created by Prince and the NPG.

5.0 out of 5 stars A hip to the rare HOUSEQUAKE!, 18 Sep 2000
By A Customer
An awesome display of talent and, as always, the best versions of Prince classics; the live recordings. Kravitz is a great addition, despite appearing somewhat overawed by the occasion himself. 2 Kravitz classics are given the 80's Prince funk treatment and Prince as backing vocals.... what higher praise? Larry Graham is funking cool, Maceo Parker shows us how the horn should really be played, Rosie Gaines (lungs like coal sacks!) raises the roof, The Time rock and George Clinton...

All in all an excellent collection of funked-up oldies, great medleys, a spattering of newer tunes and spectacular guest performances.

It ain't about the trippin but the sexuality - TURN IT UP!
