The CD you are about to buy (and you are about to buy it!) is a live concert with the Oscar Peterson trio at the Barbican recorded in 1984. The players are outstanding; Peterson as fluent and as magical as always; Pederson up to the standard of Ray Brown; and Drew, only the best British drummer of all time.
The trio plays classics like the moody 'Time After Time', the evidently popular 'Satin Doll', and my personal favourite, the driving 'Cakewalk'.
The concert was first broadcast on Radio 3, so the final track is a priceless interview with the man himself.
Like I say in the title, this is the best OP album I have, and I have 8! The trio jam their way into a five star rating with room to spare.
