5.0 out of 5 stars live ! this is how it should be done !, 23 Sep 2002
By K. SHAW "kevinshaw" (UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I was VERY VERY fortunate to have been there that night and was truly one of the best gigs I have ever been to - the crowd was awesome, the Richy clones were surreal and the band was superbly contradictory as ever ! there was no camping up of the Millenium midnight just a short break in what was a tremendously powerful and hugely energetic gig, knocking out a battery of songs as if their lives depended on it !

As for the DVD its a brilliant capture of the band, the audience and the whole vibe of one huge party, this gig was broadcast on BBC shortly after the event but was mediocre by comparisn. There's fast edits close ups and movement that really drive the whole pace. Even the extras are worth a look but nothing can touch the gig !

This is one DVD that live music fans must have - the sound is superb and the presentation first rate - my favourite music DVD !

5.0 out of 5 stars This is what DVD was invented for, 19 Jul 2000

Ok if you want the music review then check out the video reviews!

This has to be the best quality (SOUND) music DVD I have seen and heard. If you listen using the TV speaker then get a life (Decent AMP). Picture quality is of the highest quality and also 2 extra videos that will appeal to fans the interview section is a little silly.

5.0 out of 5 stars re-living millenium night, 27 Nov 2002
For those of us who weren't that fortunate or lucky to be in Cardiff to witness the Manic Street Preachers millenium concert, this DVD is a wish come true. You will throughly enjoy every live song such as If you Tolerate this then your children will be next, The Masses against the Classes (both reached number one in the chart)to James Dean Bradfields unique opener of Motown Junk comprising of the intro to Motown classic baby-love and Guns n Roses Sweet child of mind opening riff!! This is a must have... for any Manics fan out there!!!

A superb gig, only wish I could have been there. The DVD is the next best thing and there is no problem with the sound quality. Well worth the money.
