The presence of kirtan instruments (harmonium, tablas) and classical Indian sounds (bansuri flute, mridangam or double-sided drum) grounds their debut album in tradition, while thrilling synthesizer atmospherics and dramatic vocals bespeak the passion and modernity that Rasa brings to their music. Kirtan superstar Krishna Das provides guest vocals.

This is a cd for speaking to and calming the soul - literally whenever people come to my house and hear it as background music they are generally stopped in their tracks - and say "what is this" - and they just listen in and say they simply have to have it.
I have bought it as a gift for many of my friends as a result and they too say that their friends want it.
It is haunting and beautiful - gentle and healing - a great background either for deep relaxation - or to enhance working with a quiet and present mind.
I use it also when I do Reiki treatments - in my work as a healer -
and it is the most preferred music by far by my clients for helping them to go deeply into their own self healing energy.
The sounds are from ancient Indian Vedic wisdom -
translated in the interpretation and modernisation - in my view - with great love and skill - and high consciousness. I recommend it without hesitation.

These are Western musicians performing Indian bhajans. It resembles medieval Europian tunes. A kind of winterly mood. I didn't really like it. It's too cold. The artwork, though, is exellent.
