Katie Jane Garside has come a long way since her Daisy Chainsaw days. Queen Adreena is her new project and she sounds on top form in this creepily playful track. She employs a little-girl-lost style vocal over a pounding beat and some spooky instrumentation. The original Riot Grrl manages to sound both innocent and menacing at the same time - and it works brilliantly. The band are unlikely to receive serious critical acclaim as they will probably be lumped into the metal category, but this sounds far more beautiful and strange than other offerings from the genre. I Adore You is a sublime piece of alternative rock, well worth a listen and one of the highlights of their fantastic album Taxidermy.
