Out of all the Green Velvet music available this is quite possibly the best compilation that any fan should own. There are many variations of music out there and many can be segragated into specific areas. Anyone who listens to this will instantly notice the distinct Cajmere sound that makes it stand out and refuses to be categorised or suppresed into any one area. Yes, there is hard, minimal, distorted techno, but many of the tracks here also play like a story that grab your attention, force you to listen, and stick in your head for a long time to come. Just listen to "Answering Machine", "Flash" or "Abduction". For a truly "take you on a journey" experience try listening to "Water Molecule" or "Leave My Body" - both containing some of the most twisted, insane lyrics ever to be combined with music. Many people will have heard mixes of the classic tunes - most notably Flash that has been remixed by many of the big DJ's and regarded by many as one of the best techno tunes ever to grace the international club scene - but most probably don't know that much about Green Velvet. Is this album original? Definitely! Is the music mad? Sure, why not? Without doubt, one of the most original and refreshing masterpieces of the modern music generation.
