5.0 out of 5 stars A worthwhile purchase !, 11 Mar 2000
By A Customer
Conquest is a fun, light hearted entertaining series that never takes itself too seriously. What makes the series great isn't its cheesy acting or bad special effects, but amazing babes and brilliantally designed characters (such as Scorpian, Sub Zero and the amazing Quan Chi) as well as the excellent fight scenes. This box set is well purchasing for any fan. For newcomers, this box set contains the 1st half of the series, and the episodes are well written. Conquest introduces new characters to the Mortal Kombat universe as well as an amazing and ambitious story arch over 22 episodes ! But what you will love best about this is the brilliant character development between the characters. A worth while purchase !

5.0 out of 5 stars Mortal Kombat = Good veiwing, 28 Jul 2000
Mortal Kombat is back. The series is sort of a pre-quel. Set around the late 17th century Kung Lao, Siro and Taja much fight off characters suchas Scorpian, Shang Tsung, Shao Khan and Quan Chi. This is recommended

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent action and great story development, 29 Aug 2000

Alike to much of the genre (Xena,Hercules etc), Mortal Kombat: Conquest has an ongoing story that develops throughout the series, allowing the characters to grow. The action scenes are some of the best martial arts sequences available.
