This gets better every time I see it. What a clever recipe for mysteries - show the murder and the murderer, then watch and enjoy as Columbo unravels their deception, thread by thread...

Universal Video have surpassed themselves yet again. The very rare first episode of Columbo features a terrific performance by Peter Falk. Gene Barry is well-cast as the smooth psychiatrist. Able support from Nina Foch, Katherine Justice and the ever busy William Windom. Dead Weight features a top performance by guest star Eddie Albert who had just finished a long run on the popular Green Acres series. Kate Reid and Suzanne Pleshette round out the first rate cast.

I love Columbo, when I ever see it on TV I am there. So when I saw it was out on video I had to have it. The first one on the tape keeps you watching with a good twist at the end. The second one on the tape is just as good. CAN`T wait for VOL 2 to come out.
