5.0 out of 5 stars Harry Hill is a comic genius, 25 Aug 2000
By A Customer
I put this video on on a rainy thursday night and laughed so loud I got some very strange looks from the neighbours the next day. Harry Hill's own brand of comedy is 100% unique, deeply self satirizing and thoroughly clean: the dirtiest word mentioned is 'bra', and that only once. Be prepared not to laugh for the first ten minutes, as you must enter the mindset of Harry, but you will not regret buying this video, which is the epitome of intelligent stand up comedy.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as funny as everyone is making it out to be..., 15 Dec 2003

Being a massive fan of Harry Hill's tv shows and having enjoyed most of the live Birdstrike video, I was really looking forward to watching this concert video. I like to think that Harry Hill is basically a one man "Vic & Bob" comedy genius who you can usually depend on for fresh, original comedy ideas.

Unfortunately, halfway into this show, Harry seems to get nervous and lose his comedy script. Though the audience is laughing all the time, I found the remainder of this video embarassing to watch. In fact, I really had to eject it after a while because if I'd continued watching Harry Hill desperately saying the same things over & over again and acting beyond stupid for cheap & sad laughs I was gonna come out of it a lot less of a fan than before I watched it.

Trust me on this: I'm a real fan of the guy and love his tv and other live stuff, but this is very short on real laughs and I can't recommend it unless its to be found excessively cheap or are easily pleased.

Birdstrike is a funnier live video (the comedy lasts til at least 10-15 minutes before that particular show ends).
