After many years of silent and sound short movies, Laurel & Hardy moved into the world of feature films with this prison-based comedy. Overall, the film is not a classic but it is often very funny. The main problem lies with the fact that the stars don't seem to know how to fill the 65 minutes, and it becomes tedious in later stages. This new colourised version includes extra footage never before seen which is interesting if not always funny.
