Never before have I watched a video that has so much influenced my mood. From start to finish I was amused, cheered and touched by what is a fantastic exploration of both Australia and Billy Connoly himself. Every time you watch this you will find something else you've never seen before, and I know I've watched it coutless times!! If you feel down, in need of a laugh, happy, sad, worried or excitable buy this video. It'll be the best few quid you've ever spent!

This, even more than the earlier World Tour of Scotland, manages to combine the humour and stand up you'd expect with genuinely rare insights into life in Australia. There are some moving stories of people and life in the country but, when the story risks becoming too sombre or melancholy there is a burst of (often pertinent) wit drawn from the stage roadshow that was the purpose of the tour. Absolutely enjoyable to watch from start to finish.

I got this video for Xmas shortly after it was shown on BBC 1, and it was even better than the TV show was. If you are in love with the Billy Connolly humor, it is a must buy. His short stand up moments shown in the video are worth the price alone.
