4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Production, 7 May 2003
I have only discovered my liking for Janaceck quite recently and saw a live production of Jenufa in leeds. This video captures emotion that you would probably miss in the theatre. Roberta Alexander (Jenufa) is innocent and beautifully played. Anja Silja (Kostelnicka) is a force to be reconned with, such presence. It needs to be played more than once for you to enjoy and understand the ethnic portrail of the characters.
